26th District and Valley of Greenfield Visit Grand Lodge

Corinthian Hall, Grand Lodge of Massachusetts

Learning about Freemasonry in Corinthian Hall at the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, with newly-restored ceiling illumination

On Saturday August 22, members of the Massachusetts 26th Masonic District and the Scottish Rite Valley of Greenfield enjoyed a bus trip with friends and family. The first stop was Boston, where we were treated to a tour of Grand Lodge and saw the newly-restored Chamber of Reflection and the beautifully-lit ceiling of Corinthian Hall.

After lunch in the city, we headed westward to Lexington to visit the Museum of National Heritage and saw the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts: Celebrating 275 Years of Brotherhood exhibit featuring many historical Masonic artifacts.

It was a fun way to spend a late summer Saturday, enjoy time with our families and Brothers, and learn more about Freemasonry. The public is invited to tour Grand Lodge on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM. For more information as well as a virtual tour, visit: http://www.massfreemasonry.org/index.tpl?&ng_view=13

The Museum of National Heritage is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Admission and parking are free. (Hours for Grand Lodge tours and the Museum are subject to change, so be sure to double check if you're planning a visit!)
